When I started out in private practice, there were no guides specifically for Marriage and Family Therapists starting out in the business. My graduate program had a course in the business aspects, but it was more about finding your own strengths as a private practitioner, and less about the nuts and bolts aspects of running a therapy business.This book grew out of my highly successful seminars on starting and running a Marriage and Family Therapy business. Although it is written specifically for Marriage and Family Therapists, most of the information in the book applies to all types of behavioral health professionals, and they will also find much that is useful in this book.

About the Author
Charlton Hall, MMFT, LMFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has a background as an Addictions Counselor, and worked in that capacity for several years prior to becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. He is the owner of a successful private practice in Greenville, South Carolina. Prior to becoming a therapist, he was a small business owner for over two decades.
