Hi! These are the notes from my English Language Arts class. Oh, who am I? Well, some people said I was the smartest kid in class. I wrote everything you need to ace ENGLISH, from the GREEK ROOTS to the FICTION WRITING, and only the really important stuff in between-you know, the stuff that’s usually on the test!
I tried to keep everything organized, so I almost always:
• Highlight vocabulary words in YELLOW
• Color in definitions in green highlighter
• Use BLUE PEN for important people, places, dates, and terms
• Doodle a pretty sweet Alice in Wonderland and whatnot to visually show the big ideas
If you’re not loving your textbook and you’re not so great at taking notes in class, this notebook will help. It hits all the major points. (But if your teacher spends a whole class talking about something that’s not covered, go ahead and write that down for yourself.)
Now that I’ve aced English, this notebook is YOURS. I’m done with it, so this notebook’s purpose in life is to help YOU learn and remember just what you need to ace YOUR English Language Arts class.

If you teach middle school, you will love this book.

This is an absolutely fantastic book which relates to middle schoolers visually and with the texts and examples given. I teach 7th grade and I plan on using this book in my classroom this school year. Just got the copy I preordered in the mail and I can't put it down. I think my students are going to really enjoy it as well.

Great Home School Resource...Even For Younger Grades

Going to use this as supplemental for home school. We will use it over several years getting deeper in to subjects as we go. Looks like a fab resource and will save me HOURS of time. I bought the whole set (World History, Ancient History, Science, Math and English). So did two of my fellow home school mom friends. We are all looking forward to using them as part of our curriculum.

I was happy to see this offered by Brain Quest for the older kids. I like the format, it's visually appealing, and it's thick but not overwhelming.
There are questions at the end of the sections, followed by answers on the other side of the page. Great for students who can handle being self guided.
I am really pleased at my initial look at of this series- For a review/ overview of basic info for the middle school student.
Now, if they would incorporate this idea into Highschool core courses that would be great!
